Donegal Double Dutch and Qld dressage rider Tracy Rathjen, making their dressage debut at Lockyer Equestrian Group dressage competition 14.06.09. at Laidley Qld, for two wins and overall Preliminary Champion. A great start to his dressage career.
'Dutch' is by Donegal Double Take (ISH), out of the TB mare Damiani, and is the full brother to Donegal Y2K, who was selected on the Queensland State dressage squad 2007 after outstanding results at the 2006 Australian Dressage Championships, but is now retired to be a broodmare after developing 'headshakers syndrome', which vets believe could have been caused by the Equine Influenza epidemic in 2007.
Donegal Double Dutch is an exciting dressage prospect, displaying scopey elastic paces, which are coupled with his outstanding conformation and of course the renowned Irish temperament. Owner-rider Tracy said after her wins: "I was delighted today, I couldn't have asked any more of him, he just did everything I wanted".
